Margaret River to continue hosting popular pro surf event until 2024


New agreement locks in Margaret River Pro for three years until 2024
Deal secures future of event as part of World Championship Tour
Supported by State Government through Tourism WA 
Professional surfing event, the Margaret River Pro, has secured its future in Western Australia until 2024 under a new sponsorship agreement with the State Government, through Tourism Western Australia and the World Surf League (WSL).
The agreement makes the event a fixture on the World Championship Tour for three years, with the 2021 Margaret River Pro already secured as part of the current sponsorship deal.
As a WSL Championship Tour event, the Pro attracts surfing’s global elite, with the top professional men and women surfers in the world competing for championship points. Superstars of the surf world to have competed in the Margaret River Pro in recent years include Kelly Slater, John John Florence, Stephanie Gilmore and Sally Fitzgibbons. ....

Toyota Renews Sponsorship of USA Surfing

USA Surfing is enormously grateful to Toyota for extending the company’s support to USA Surfing, along with five other Olympic National Governing Bodies (NGB’s). “We are proud to have Toyota’s support in growing the sport of surfing, empowering future generations of champions, and advancing the healthy surfing lifestyle in the United States,” said USA Surfing CEO Greg Cruse.
Cruse added that Toyota’s support has been particularly important in supporting the last event to run before Covid shutdowns – Team USA’s Adaptive surf team’s performances at the International Surfing Association’s World ParaSurfing Championships, and the first event to start in 2021 – the Toyota USA Surfing Prime Series. ....
