These photos reveal the extent of the building disaster that has beset the Hall family, forcing them to live in a caravan.
Andrew Hall and his wife and three children have battled the Queensland Building and Construction Commission for two years, fighting a losing battle to get $450,000 spent to repair their home after a builder completely botched the job.
 
 
Our dealings with the QBCC have been an absolute disaster, Mr Hall said.

The latest casualty of the beleaguered Queensland Building and Construction Commission is a family of five, who have been forced to live in a caravan park for more than two years after a $450,000 renovation of their Logan home sparked a bitter dispute with their builder and the QBCC.
Andrew and Lesley Hall, and their three children, aged between 10 and 14, are not only unable to live in their dream home but out of pocket by more than $150,000 in their dispute, which began in 2018.
The couple, who are Christians, say they re praying for divine intervention after being fobbed off by Mr de Brenni, who apart from representing their electorate of Springwood is the relevant State Government Minister. ....

Blue River Horse Center withdraws proposal to use Summit County fairgrounds

In a move that surprised the county’s elected officials, the Blue River Horse Center on Tuesday withdrew its proposal to use the county fairgrounds as a home for its nonprofit horse rehabilitation and educational programming.
Blue River Horse Center Executive Director and Founder John Longhill shared that change of heart with county commissioners and officials at Tuesday’s county work session. Longhill said the analysis of the proposal conducted by several county departments analysis that did not support the organization’s wishes to use a 5- to 6-acre parcel for programming influenced him to withdraw the request. ....
