WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona County Health and Human Services will hold three vaccine clinics this week.
Health officials will distribute the Moderna vaccine at a clinic in Winona from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. There will also be a clinic in Lewiston from 4-5:30 p.m., where officials will administer the Pfizer vaccine.
The county will also distribute the one-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine in Winona on Friday from 6-7 p.m.
“Everybody who’s the correct age is eligible,” said Winona County Emergency Management Coordinator Ben Klinger. “Come and get it. That’s the best way to protect everybody now and let’s get to that 70% early, let’s get rid of that mask mandate.”

WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)- Winona County Health and Human Services will hold a vaccine clinic in Lewiston on Thursday.
The appointment and walk-in clinic will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Lewiston Community Center. Officials will administer the Pfizer vaccine, meaning people ages 16 and older who live and work in Winona County are eligible for a shot.
During an interview on KWNO last week, Winona County Emergency Management Coordinator Ben Klinger announced plans to shift vaccine clinics into smaller communities and evenings to catch residents who the county has missed.
“We are up in the 80 percent for retired and elderly people who are more available during the day so we’ll shift a little more into evenings,” said Klinger.
