Two men arrested for shooting into house in Welcome with AR-15 rifle

The Dispatch Two men from King, NC that were driving a U-Haul truck were arrested for shooting into a residence in Welcome with an AR-15 style semi-automatic rifle and also severely injuring a man inside with a knife on Friday. At approximately 2:30 p.m. deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call on Lanier Drive in Welcome reporting two individuals were attempting to break into a residence.  Also, that one of the suspects was armed with a Smith and Wesson AR rifle and was shooting into the house, according to law enforcement. North Carolina sex offender faces multiple charges after distributing child pornography in Davidson County

A Davidson County man is facing multiple charges after distributing child pornography. The Davidson County Sheriff's Office received a complaint in February about Thomas Hickerson, a registered sex offender, distributing child pornography through Kik in the Arcadia community. Lexington woman and child held at knifepoint; suspect chased by police

The Dispatch A Thomasville man was arrested for allegedly holding a woman and a child at knifepoint on Monday night before fleeing from the police. Derrick Anthony Pratt, Jr.,  26, of Blair Street in Thomasville, was charged with felony first-degree kidnapping, felony first-degree burglary, misdemeanor stalking, misdemeanor communicating threats, and misdemeanor resisting a public officer. According to information on the arrest warrant provided by the Davidson County Magistrate’s Office, Pratt allegedly broke into the residence on Travis Lane in Lexington and held a woman and her four-year-old child at knifepoint against their will.
