Duson Police Chief Kip Judice was hospitalized Saturday after a respiratory incident that caused him to need emergency medical care, according to his Facebook posts. Judice, 55, was taken to an emergency room Saturday evening when a respiratory attack blocked his airway and caused his blood oxygen levels to drop to 65%. He remains in the intensive care unit at Our Lady of Lourdes main campus in Lafayette pending surgery this week. When I arrived at the Our Lady of Lourdes Scott ER my oxygen levels were at 65%, Judice wrote on Facebook Sunday. I was described as looking like grey death by the ER doctor. ....
