MediaWorks has recruited another top Air New Zealand executive.
The media company, which owns radio and outdoor assets, has appointed Jeff McDowall as its chief operating officer.
The former Air New Zealand chief financial officer will be responsible for MediaWorks outdoor operations as well as finance, property, procurement and strategy functions.
McDowall spent more than two decades at Air New Zealand. It was announced in October last year he would leave the airline in mid-2021. ....

MediaWorks appoints COO


MediaWorks has announced it has appointed Jeff McDowall as chief operating officer.
McDowall will bring his extensive commercial and financial experience of more than 30 years to the newly created role. As COO he will be responsible for MediaWorks’ outdoor operations, as well as its finance, property, procurement and strategy functions.
McDowall will join MediaWorks after a significant career at Air New Zealand spanning more than two decades, most recently as chief financial officer. It was announced in October last year he would depart the airline mid-2021.
Some of his other previous senior leadership roles at the airline include acting CEO, group general manager - corporate finance and group general manager - commercial. ....

Our scripture lesson from Acts 6: 1-7 today showed us the life and faith of Stephen, someone we don’t speak of often. Stephen was chosen as a deacon. He brought cultural diversity to the church. He lived his faith openly and was steeped in God. He was well-versed in God’s word.
Pastor Sandi asked us if we are bold in our love for God.  Do we show courage and love? Are we willing to possibly annoy people to show our love for God and what we believe in? Stephen had the strength he needed to stand up for God. Stephen even pleaded for forgiveness for those men who stoned and eventually killed him! ....
