Cage Warriors Expanding Its Roster

Cage Warriors Expanding Its Roster April 23, 2021 Last week, Cage Warriors announced that it has extended the contracts of some its hottest prospects, made new signings with some young blood, and inked a familiar returning face. The familiar face in question is Paul Redmond, who had eight fights with the organization between 2012 and 2014. He scored finishes in six of those affairs, most notably against current Bellator fighters Lewis Long and Ryan Roddy. Since then, Redmond has fought in the UFC, BAMMA and, most recently, Bellator MMA. He’s a top European lightweight, and there’s no doubt he has his eyes on Agy Sardari’s belt. Redmond expressed recently that he wants to “hit the ground running.”

Cage Warriors: A March Trilogy Looms

Cage Warriors: A March Trilogy Looms Despite the current COVID-19 situation in the United Kingdom, the upcoming March Cage Warriors: The Trilogy is undoubtedly something for fight fans to look forward to in a thus far gloomy 2021. The most recent Cage Warriors trilogy event took place in December, with the 117th, 118th and 119th editions of the promotion’s fight series. These cards took place over three consecutive nights and each culminated in a title fight. On the first card, Birmingham’s undefeated UFC hopeful Jake Hadley took the flyweight title after beating Luke Shanks via unanimous decision. Let’s examine the flyweight division, a weight class that has come close to eradication from the UFC. Despite signs of what appeared to be its imminent demise, it’s still hanging on for now.
