LINCOLN, NE (KELO.com)– The Sioux Falls Stampede dropped a 6-4 loss to the Lincoln Stars Saturday night at the Ice Box. Four different scorers put a puck in the back of the net for the Stampede, while Trent Burnham made the start in net, stopping 22 of 27 shots on net.
The Lincoln Stars opened the scoring with three goals in the first period to blanket the Herd in the first period. Henry Nelson and Luke Mittelstadt tallied their first career USHL goals at 5:35 and 7:17 of the first period for the early 2-0 lead. James Stefan made it 3-0 at 14:42 of the period into the first intermission. ....
