The Hesperia City Council adopted the fee in January as part of the Residential Truck Parking Permit Program. City officials said the fees would help fund repairs on residential and commercial roads, which they said are damaged faster than normal by big rigs. The parking fee structure includes an annual $200 permit per tractor and $800 per trailer. On Tuesday night, the City Council voted 5-0 to revisit the parking fee, possibly during the Aug. 18 meeting; place a hold on accepting parking permit applications, which began in March and included a Sept. 21 deadline; and establish a moratorium that prevents new residents from parking trucks on t ....
