Q&A: Your questions answered on Swindon Town court case

The question at the heart of this case is pretty simple: who owns Swindon Town? Two years ago, football agent Michael Standing and Australian construction mogul Clem Morfuni each obtained court orders preventing Lee Power from selling shares in the club. Why? Because they claimed they owned a stake in the club. Morfuni said he’d paid £1.1m for a 15 per cent stake in Town in 2018. That matter was later settled – so he does now own his 15 per cent stake. Mr Standing said he went in 50-50 with Lee Power, although his involvement was hidden at the time. Mr Power, by contrast, says that Mr Standing was acting on behalf of Premier League player Gareth Barry.

Carlisle United rated second best in country by Fan Engagement Index

United have impressed with their fan engagement activities in a new study (photo: Barbara Abbott) Carlisle United are the second best club in the country for fan engagement, according to a new study. The Blues efforts in reaching out to supporters in the 2019/20 campaign sees them figure highly in the Think Fan Engagement Index. Only Exeter City out of the 91 clubs from the Premier League down to League Two scored highly than the Cumbrians last season. It is an improvement on last year s fourth-placed finish for United. The study ranks clubs in areas such as dialogue, governance and transparency. It is understood that Carlisle earned credit for aspects such as their regular supporters group meetings, the detail provided in their accounts, the online updates provided by chief executive Nigel Clibbens, the club having two supporters trust (CUOSC) representatives on their boards and the work of the Blues media department.

Blues Visit Relegated Swindon Aiming to Finally End Goal Drought - Ipswich Town News

Blues Visit Relegated Swindon Aiming to Finally End Goal Drought Friday, 30th Apr 2021 14:03 Town travel to Swindon for the first of three meaningless end-of-season games aiming to end their goal drought as it moves towards a club record. The Blues, whose play-off push ground to a halt during April and who dropped to 12th following the midweek games, have now gone 619 minutes, more than six matches and in excess of 10 hours, without a goal. If they fail to score against the Robins - who have conceded 84 times this season, more than anyone else in League One by eight goals - and then in the opening five minutes at Shrewsbury on Tuesday, they’ll surpass the club record 714 minutes from the 1994/95 Premier League relegation campaign.
