Delivery drivers, taxi drivers and TVDE professionals are all covered as part of a reinforcement of testing of covid-19 in the Lisbon region as of Friday.
In a press conference that brought together several public entities, in Lisbon, the coordinator of the task-force created by the Government to promote the testing plan due to the pandemic explained that, from 28 May, “a program of awareness and testing” will be developed with the delivery, taxi and transport service providers (TVDE).

The Lisbon Town Council unanimously approved a $18.1 million school budget on Tuesday that will be voted on by residents June 8.
The school budget represents a $448,345 increase over the previous year’s budget and, according to Superintendent Richard Green, that translates to a $232,000 or about 3% tax increase for the 2021-22 budget.
According to town documents, if approved by voters, tax payers would contribute about $7.79 million to the school budget.
The school budget would add about 36 cents to the tax rate of $23.10 per $1,000 of property value, according to Town Manager Diane Barnes. ....

The Lisbon Town Council unanimously approved a $18.1 million school budget on Tuesday that will be voted on by residents June 8.
The school budget represents a $448,345 increase over the previous year’s budget and, according to Superintendent Richard Green, that translates to a $232,000 or about 3% tax increase for the 2021-22 budget.
According to town documents, if approved by voters, tax payers would contribute about $7.79 million to the school budget.
The school budget would add about 36 cents to the tax rate of $23.10 per $1,000 of property value, according to Town Manager Diane Barnes.
Barnes said that when factoring in the municipal and county budgets, the overall projected tax rate for 2021-22 is a decrease of about 25 cents. ....

The Lisbon Town Council voted 5-2 on Tuesday in favor of adjusting, and in some cases increasing, the fees at the town’s transfer station.
Council Chair Allen Ward and Councilor Fern Larochelle were opposed.
Changes of note include an increase from $25 to $30 for a transfer station permit. All subsequent vehicles, however, will now only be charged $15 instead of full price.
Additionally, the council approved an increase for commercial haulers, who were originally charged $1,000 and will now be charged $3,000.
Rates for oversized bulky waste also increased. Sofa’s cost $25, windows and doors cost $5 each, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and a twin and full mattress cost $10 and a king and queen sized mattress cost $15. ....
