Residents who are on a spring cleaning mission can hand in any unwanted goods to the charity s shops as city stores have reopened. Volunteers are able to accept a wide variety of goods, including clothes, books, pots and pans. However, they are unable to accept pillows and duvets, video and music cassettes, large items of furniture, car seats, push chairs and prams, safety equipment, perishable goods, items made with real fur or ivory, candles without instructions, and non-CE marked toys. ....
The Warwick Middle School Future City team didnât have to travel far to take home the 2nd place prize at the National Future City competition. Instead of traveling to Washington, D.C. to compete as usual, the competition was held online. The award-winning team was honored at a virtual ceremony held on Wednesday, April 7. The students thought they were going to be interviewed about their project during a live video call but then discovered that they had made the top five. Then they were surprised to find out during the awards ceremony that Warwick Middle School received the awards for âBest Presentation Videoâ and âBest City for Transportationâ in the Central Pennsylvania regionals. Best of all was learning that they were named as 2nd place in the national finals. ....

Here are five burning questions we’ll be looking to answer once the polls close at 9 p.m. How many voters will rank? In San Francisco’s first ranked-choice voting election in 2004, nearly a quarter of voters said they only voted for one candidate and didn’t rank – and that was after an $800,000 outreach campaign. Conventional wisdom says that fewer voters ranking would be good news for James Gennaro, the one white candidate, since six of his competitors of South Asian descent might be targeting the same voters. Another question – given the snow and the cold and the lackluster early voting numbers – is how many people will vote at all. ....
