Glaswegians react to Nicola Sturgeon s lockdown announcement GLASWEGIANS have had their say on First Minister Nicola Sturgeon s most recent lockdown announcement for the city. Speaking at a Covid media briefing today, Ms Sturgeon confirmed that Glasgow will remain in Level 3 for at least another week. Neighbouring East Renfrewshire - Scotland s current coronavirus capital - will, however, remain under more relaxed restrictions. The First Minister said that because of the lower numbers of cases in East Renfrewshire, the Government had taken the decision to keep the local authority in Level 2. Glasgow s lockdown will be reviewed in the coming days, with Ms Sturgeon adding that she could not promise the city will remain in Level 3 for just one week. ....

It was three years after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Brown v. Topeka Board of Education, and the same year that would see the desegregation crisis unfold at Little Rock Central High. Anticipating change under Brown, Superintendent Virgil Blossom and the School Board opened the all-black Horace Mann High School in what was mostly black East Little Rock in 1956.
