TAMPA, Fla. â While many families and kids were preparing for summer break, in the last week of classes, Lila Miller, a second-grader at Roland Park K-8 in Tampa, wanted to make sure all kids have something they can eat on the school lunch menu.
Miller, who became a vegetarian more than a year ago, developed a revised menu with more plant-based and meat-free options. Then, thanks to her assistant principal, she met with the school s nutrition manager to present it.
Dr. Julie Butler, D.V.M. ’83, cared for Harlem and its pets for 30 years. Her death due to COVID-19 inspired the College of Veterinary Medicine to establish a scholarship in her name.

What a wild ride it has been. In the summer, I will graduate and leave this fine institution of learning. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to help provide news to the Armstrong GSU community. While the world waits for COVID-19 vaccinations and the pollen to clear the air, Telfair Museums has a number of intriguing art exhibitions to venture into safely. The exhibitions range across from Telfair’s two out of three museum sites and offer exhibitions of interest in many areas.
