Casualty fans said goodbye to Leon Cook tonight (May 1) as his time with the ambulance crew came to an end.
The paramedic, who joined the show earlier this year, was seen walking away from the hospital at the end of the episode, after being turned down for a more permanent role on the team.

Casualty paramedic Leon Cook has been a lovely addition to Holby ED’s ambulance crew. Unfortunately Leon’s time with the Holby team is cut short this week, after he applies for a permanent job with Jan Jenning and her merry medics.
Enthusiastic Leon wants nothing more than to become a part of the family, but the shock revelation that more experienced medic Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) is also interviewing for the job leaves Leon convinced his days in Holby are numbered. And, sadly, he’s not wrong, as this Saturday’s Casualty sees Leon hanging up his green uniform and moving to London.
It s definitely a shame for fans that he s only been on
Casualty for such a short time, but at least the character isn t being killed off and gets to say a proper goodbye. BBC
Last weekend saw some harrowing scenes air on the BBC soap, as Jade Lovall was attacked on a night out and wondered if she had been targeted because she is deaf.
Viewers praised the powerful performance from actor Gabriella Leon, as well as the show for raising awareness of date rape.
