Tvesa Malik finishes T-23 as Lee Ann wins Women's SA Open for fourth time


Capetown, May 17: India’s Tvesa Malik dropped three shots in the last four holes on the final day to finish tied 23rd at the Investec South African Women’s Open golf tournament here.
             Malik, who shot 76 on a difficult final day, finished outside the top 20 bracket with rounds of 72-79-78-76 during a week when wind and rain played havoc.
             South Africa’s 40-year-old star Lee-Anne Pace clinched her fourth South African Women’s Open title after carding a final round of 72 for a one-shot win over Germany’s Leonie Harm at Westlake Golf Club.
             She finished the tournament at two-over 290. Pace’s win made her the first woman to win the title four times and ensures she leads the 2021 Race to Costa del Sol. ....

Capetown, May 14 (PTI) India s Tvesa Malik made a good start before dropping two bogeys to finish at even-par 72 and lie tied fifth after the first round of the Investec South African Women s Open golf tournament here.
Tvesa had a share of the lead for some part of the day before faltering at the Westlake Golf Club.
Tvesa, who is opening her 2021 Ladies European Tour season this week, shot three birdies against three bogeys and trailed home star, Lee-Anne Pace and Welsh Lydia Hall, who carded two-under 70 each on the opening day. ....
