BUILDING work on 50 new homes in Malvern is underway.
The ground at the North End Lane site was broken by Lovell Midlands and Platform Housing Group, and will see a selection of one, two, three and four bedroom homes built.
Of these, 14 will be for affordable rent , 14 for social rent and 22 for shared ownership.
The site, a former BMX track, was given the green light by planners in January last year, though there were objections from a number of residents and local groups who felt it was inappropriate.
One of these, from Malvern Town Council, said the planned access road was ‘unsuitable’ and the increase in cars in an already built up area would be unacceptable. ....
