HALIFAX Liam Donnelly rushed to carry away his belongings Saturday morning as the tiny temporary shelter where had been living since April was being torn down by Halifax Mutual Aid, the group that built his and13 other shelters throughout Halifax. Thursday afternoon, Donnelly had moved into a hotel room paid for by the province after the Halifax Regional Municipality gave ultimatums to the people living in the shelters, and Halifax Mutual Aid to either remove or vacate the structures by July 13 or the city would take matters in its own hands. I signed the papers with Shelter Nova Scotia and I don’t know what went on after that, but by this morning there’s people here removing my stuff while they think I’m at a hotel, Donnelly said.

Vermont finally broke through.
In the Catamounts’ third consecutive America East championship game appearance, Chris Feifs’ team claimed its first tournament title and the program’s first-ever NCAA tournament bid.
The No. 2 seed in the conference tournament, Vermont (9-4, AE 7-2) used a balanced offensive attack and a dominant performance at the faceoff X to dispatch fourth-seeded Albany 15-10. The victory is Vermont’s third win this season and fifth straight against the Great Danes.

Two blinks later, and the momentum had swung entirely in the other direction.
Thomas McConvey tied the game with 13.7 seconds left in the half, then Vermont’s Tommy Burke won the ensuing faceoff and ripped home a goal 5.3 seconds later to put the Catamounts up by a goal.
Vermont tacked on four more goals in a row to start the third quarter, and UAlbany never fully recovered as the Catamounts pulled away for a 15-10 win on the UMBC campus in Catonsville, Maryland, to earn the program’s first-ever America East title and NCAA tournament berth.
