Date Time Racial justice grants fund two new public health projects Inspired by the university’s Seed Fund for Racial Justice, Ohio State’s College of Public Health recently awarded $100,000 to research projects addressing racism and resulting inequities. Wilson Figueroa, senior consulting research statistician at the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Evaluation Studies (HOPES), received $75,000 to study the impacts of daily stress on queer people of color, and Jennifer Hefner, assistant professor of health services management and policy, received $25,000 to evaluate 911 response to mental health crises in Columbus.
