LIMERICK Green Party TD Brian Leddin says “two-thirds” of the Coonagh to Knockalisheen Road will go ahead.
Anger has especially grown in Moyross over the past week, after Transport Minister Eamon Ryan met with stakeholders and community representatives to discuss the €58m project leaving them with the belief it may be not be progressed as was previously envisaged.
Now, this Monday morning, Mr Leddin says the minister is committed to signing off on the section of the proposed road between Coonagh and Moyross – but not the final piece connecting the northside estate to Knockalisheen. ....

New bus route welcome news to Limerick community with few drivers

Bus Eireann s expansion of a Limerick city route is being welcomed as less than half of households in the affected areas own a car.
Route 303 will now run every 15 minutes, with more services offered in the evenings and on weekends.
It s as part of one of the biggest enhancement in services since 2005, with the creation of 120 new jobs at Bus Eireann nationwide.
