The five people have been charged with offences relating to perverting the course of justice.
The arrests and charges came following directions received from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
All five individuals have been released on station bail and are due to appear before Limerick Court on 14 May, 2021.
As the investigation is ongoing, An Garda SÃochána has said it will not be commenting further.
Last November, eight Gardaà were suspended over allegations of corruption in public office in Munster.
