To our readers, Police say convicted sex offender sexually assaulted child By Stephen Betts | May 21, 2021 Photo by: Knox County Jail Jeffrey Sparks A 54-year-old man who is on the state s sex offender registry list was arrested May 19, accused of sexually assaulting a young girl several years ago. Jeffrey B. Sparks was arrested in Rockland on a warrant for Class B unlawful sexual contact obtained from the court by Knox County Sheriff s Office Detective Justin Twitchell. An affidavit filed in the Knox County court by the detective states the girl reported to her doctor last month that she was sexually assaulted by Sparks when she was 8 or 9 years old. The court complaint lists the offense as occurring in 2014.

Christopher C. Cooney, 35, of Liberty, aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation, priors, in Washington Nov. 29, 2019, dismissed; reckless conduct in Washington Nov. 29, 2019, $1000 fine. Jeremy J. Cruz, 32, of Bronx, N.Y., aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs in Warren Jan. 24, 2020, dismissed.
