New business owners were longtime employees who fit the frame July 12, 2021 1 Lindsay Schmidt is a new co-owner of Rick’s Custom Frame and Gallery. She had been an employee for seven years. ( Noah Daboul photos) Rick’s Custom Frame and Gallery at 5702 Patterson Ave. started off as a mom-and-pop shop more than 10 years ago after owner Rick Michaels had spent almost two decades in the industry. Now, as Michaels looks to retire, the shop is being passed to familiar hands it’s been sold to some of its long-time employees. David Turner and Lindsay Schmidt officially acquired the business on July 1 for $600,000. The deal was brokered by Gavin Raphael of Light and Raphael Business Brokers.

Two Wentzville students earn MASC Distinguished Student Leader Awards

Lindsey Schmidt and Sophie Warren Timberland High School seniors Lindsey Schmidt and Sophie Warren have received the Distinguished Student Leader Award from the Missouri Association of Student Councils (MASC). This award recognizes Missouri students who demonstrate superior student council leadership skills and knowledge based on MASC criteria and evaluation procedures. Schmidt has been a member of Timberland student council for three years and currently serves as the second vice president of her council. In this position, she leads other students through student council operations, projects, and events. In addition to this role, Lindsey is also a member of Timberland National Honor Society, is a senior class officer and a Link Crew leader. She plans to attend the University of Kansas to study business administration.
