Linda Staunton (45) admitted theft and attempted theft in three separate incidents in Dublin city centre. Judge Bryan Smyth imposed sentence at Dublin District Court. A garda sergeant said Staunton, of Dunne Street Flats, Dublin 1, stole cosmetics at McAuley s Pharmacy, Charlemont Street, on June 23. Fled The court heard she took €214 worth of goods and left without paying. Staff tried to stop her and reclaimed some of the cosmetics but she escaped with €100 worth, a garda sergeant said. The next day, June 24, gardaí responded to a panic alarm from the same pharmacy where Staunton fled after trying to put products into her handbag. ....
