Begovic likely to be first summer signing Rumour Mill

Asmir Begovic looks set to become the first acquisition of Rafael Benitez s tenure as Everton close in on the Bournemouth keeper.
The 34-year-old has a year left in his existing agreement with the Cherries but the Blues have reportedly struck a deal and have secured him on a two-year contract.
Everton have been linked with Pierluigi Gollini in Italy and Sergio Romero, who is out of contract at Manchester United, but have turned to Begovic instead.

Everton have confirmed that they have suspended a first-team player pending an investigation by police.
A brief statement by the club went on to say that they will continue to support the authorities with their inquiries and would not be making any further statement at this time.
The bulletin from the club came in the wake of a report by the Daily Mail that a Premier League club had suspended a 31-year-old player due to a inquiries by police.

Everton will sign 16-year-old striker Francis Okoronkwo after agreeing a fee of £1m with Sunderland.
That s according to MailSport who say that the Blues will add him to their development squad as the latest acquisition with an eye on future first-team involvement.
Okoronkwo is already 6ft 3in, and his physique allowed him to compete with players 2 years above his age group in Sunderland s Under-18 side last season, where he made 17 appearances, scoring three goals and making three assists. ....

I ve already speculated elsewhere this could be due to forced isolation having returned from an amber or red zone country. (Talking of which, are you in isolation Rob on returning from Madeira, or does the UK consider it an OK destination? Did you try the Port-like Madeira wine? Good gear!).
