Funds needed for baby boy fighting for life after pregnant woman killed in Birmingham crash Updated 10:25 AM; Iderrika Patryce Finley, who also went by Iderrika Callens, died Monday in a rollover crash on Interstate 59/29 in Birmingham. Within hours, doctors delivered her baby, Dallas, in an emergency C-section. Not due until May 25, Dallas was born 18 inches long and weighing 5 pounds and 7 ½ ounces. The 24-year-old pharmacy technician was on her way to work at CVS when she called her mother in a panic, saying that the brakes were failing on her Toyota 4Runner. Pregnant woman killed in Birmingham interstate crash ‘had a heart of gold’ Updated Apr 13, 2021; It was a phone call that Lisa Finley will never forget, it was the last time she heard the voice of her cherished daughter. Shortly before 10 a.m. Monday, Iderrika Finley called her mom, who was also her best friend, in a panic. Iderrika was on the interstate on her way to work and the brakes were seemingly failing on her Toyota 4 Runner. A CVS pharmacy technician who was to give birth next month, Iderrika was traveling northbound on Interstate 59/20 when she called her mother. “She was telling me, ‘The truck won’t stop, the truck won’t stop. Help me, Mommy, help me,’’ Finley said. “Then I heard a scream and a crash, and I didn’t hear anything else.”
