It’s not always a breeze writing these weekly columns. Sure, the easy ones pretty much write themselves, but that’s not been the case this morning (Wednesday).
With the heat and humidity raging outside in a race to reach the highest peaks, I’ve self-isolated myself in my tiny office. BALTIMORE (AP) - Maryland authorities have arrested one suspect and are searching for another following the shooting death of a driver for a state transit program serving disabled people.
Baltimore Police said Sunday that they have charged Ernest Ford, 28, with murder in Friday’s killing of Frankye Duckett, 49.
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Marquis Poteat, 32.

BALTIMORE (AP) Maryland authorities are investigating the shooting death of a driver for a state transit program serving disabled people.
Police responded to a reported shooting in northeast Baltimore shortly after 5:30 p.m. Friday and found 49 year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. He died a short time later at a local hospital.
Investigators said the victim was an MTA Mobility van driver who was seated inside his vehicle when he was approached by a man who shot him with a handgun. Police said the suspect fled in a tan or beige-colored Ford Crown Victoria or Lincoln Grand Marquee. ....
