It became clear after the Republican Party suffered the devastating loss of the presidency and two Georgia Senate seats last November that the party was in trouble, badly in need of direction. Ready to be of service, I stepped up to the plate. In an opinion letter in this paper, I offered a series of suggestions, one of which was: “Your voter suppression activities make you look weak and anti-democratic. Instead, focus on policies that attract a broader range of people to your party.
