L.A. County To Transition Magic Mountain COVID-19 Vaccination Site To COC After several months of operation, the large-scale COVID-19 vaccination site at Six Flags Magic Mountain is set to transition away from the amusement park in favor of a smaller site at College of the Canyons (COC), County officials announced Monday. Starting on April 19, College of the Canyons and Palmdale Oasis Park Recreation Center are scheduled to begin operating as County-operated vaccination sites in the northern part of Los Angeles County, according to L.A. County officials. “Six Flags Magic Mountain has been honored to work with our L.A. County Health Department partners in serving as a COVID-19 vaccination site since January 2021. We wish them much success with their new vaccination distribution efforts,” said Jerry Certonio, spokesperson for Six Flags Magic Mountain.

The National Weather Service said the dry weather is expected to continue through the weekend, with another chance of rain for northern sections of the Southland on Sunday night into Monday. Dry conditions are then expected Tuesday through Thursday. However, a flash flood watch remained in effect through 4 a.m. Friday for the Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills, Orange County inland areas and the Silverado and Bond burn scars in Orange County.
