WELLS, Maine  Just over $1 million is on its way to Wells as a result of the federal American Rescue Plan, which was signed into law in March, and local leaders are homing in on a plan for how to use the money. Town Manager Larissa Crockett presented five options to the Board of Selectmen at their May 18 meeting. By the end of the presentation and discussion, the selectmen came up with what they saw as two of the best potential uses for the ARP money. One potential use would extend the public water line to the train station, and the other would support some of the Wells Sanitary District s needs.
