Evelyn Carol Swanson Evelyn Carol Swanson, 83, of Coldwater passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her son’s home in Bronson under hospice care and while surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Frank Queen of Snow Prairie Bible Church officiating. Interment will follow at Bronson Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Please wear your favorite sports team clothing to honor her memory. Evelyn was born January 13, 1938 to Cuyler and Ethel (Barnes) VanValkenburg in Adrian. She was a hardworking woman, spending many years working. Evelyn worked in Alaska for 2 years in adult foster care before moving back to Michigan in 1985. She then worked at Ames in Hillsdale for 7 years before their closing. Evelyn then worked at Walmart for 20 years, mainly as a cashier before retiring in 2015.
