Mar 4, 2021 1:09 PM Despite saying he would not actively campaign for the position, a candidate for the Appleton School Board appears to be holding campaign events. Edward Ruffalo publicly stated that he would not continue his run after declining an appointment to the School Board in January. However, a Facebook post by Laurie McCulloch of Appleton claims that she took part in a “virtual house party” for Ruffalo’s campaign on Wednesday night. McCulloch then tags School Board member Jim Bowman in a comment below the post saying he can quote her support for Ruffalo’s campaign. Representative Lee Snodgrass also posts a comment telling people to spread the word. Ruffalo publicly stated he would not campaign for the Board–despite still being on the ballot–after a parents group raised issues with his following Facebook sites featuring scantily clad young women. That led Ruffalo to decline the Board appointment that was approved in early January. ....
