CARS full of foodbank donations from a Holywell school will help families eat this Christmas. Staff dropped of the donation at St Peter s Church from St Winefride s Catholic Primary School after teachers asked parents to forgo the usual end of year gifts and help the school make a bumper donation to the local foodbank on December 16. Mrs Lauren Owen, the school deputy head, told the Leader how the whole thing came to be. She said: Instead of accepting gifts we wanted to do our bit to help those in need. So, instead of gifts for the teacher we asked that every family donate what they could spare - big or small - to our local foodbank. ....
