The Lancaster County Drug Task Force arrested a city man who was already facing trial on drug and weapons charges during a raid Thursday morning that turned up cocaine, marijuana, a gun and more than $10,000 cash.
As a result of Thursdayâs raid, Steven Gonzalez Morales, 20, was charged with drug and a weapons charge. He was being held at Lancaster County Prison unable to post $10,000 bail.
Steven Gonzalez-Morales, 20, of the 600 block of Poplar Street, was charged May 6 with felony drug possession with intent to deliver, possession of a stolen handgun, and possession of drug paraphernalia after police seized marijuana, cocaine, $10,000 in cash, and the gun when executing a search warrant, the district attorney said.

Records released Monday include all receipts and expenses for each account related to the DTF between July 2018 through June 2020 and can be found here. Fatal overdoses in Lancaster County soared to 146 in 2020, a 40% increase from the previous year that officials are attributing to COVID-19.
Lancaster Joining Forces, which was formed in 2017 with the mission to reduce deaths from opioids and heroin, said the pandemic has ushered in many of the triggers for addiction and relapse including mental health distress, social isolation, changes in daily routines and access to treatment and support services.
âWe had been tracking the numbers all along and sensed that they were going to be higher than in the recent past,â said Alice Yoder, executive director for community health at Lancaster General Health and co-chair of Joining Forces. âYet seeing the final numbers is heartbreaking because these are people behind these numbers.â
A Lancaster man was charged with multiple narcotics felonies after he was found with numerous drugs he intended to sell, according to the Lancaster County Drug Task Force.
Shawn Money Jones, 32, was charged with six counts of possession of drugs, three counts of possession of a prohibited firearm, one count of possession of a firearm with an altered serial number and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Those charges came after Lancaster County Drug Task Force agents uncovered 4.6 grams of fentanyl, 25.3 grams of powder cocaine, 6 grams of crack cocaine, 286 grams of methamphetamine and 164 oxycodone pills at Jones residence in the 600 block of North Queen Street shortly after noon on Tuesday, according to an affidavit of probable cause. Jonesâ house also contained multiple digital gram scales and boxes of sandwich bags.
