(Ontelaunee Township, PA) A reward is now being offered for any information that leads to the arrest of a poacher who is being accused of killing a bald eagle in Berks County. The Pennsylvania Game Commission announced this past Friday that the Reading Blue Mountain-and-Northern Railroad is offering a five-thousand-dollar reward to catch the suspect. The bald eagle was found shot and killed last month in a parking area off Mountain Road in Tilden Township. Anyone with any information is being asked to contact the Pennsylvania Game Commission s southeast region office.

Man found bleeding on Lancaster County road likely struck by car: police

Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department officials said Sunday they are continuing the investigation into the incident that occurred around 7 a.m. Friday near Route 501 and East Newport Road in Warwick Township.
Due to his condition and the need for emergency treatment, the injured man could not be questioned at the time, but police on Sunday said the 54-year-old man, who remains hospitalized, was likely struck by a vehicle. Evidence collected at the scene and his recollection in subsequent interviews led to police investigate the incident as a hit-and-run, authorities say.
