For a producer to come out of a well earned retirement and an award winning director to take on a last minute lead role, Talley’s Folly has got to be good. And that’s the promise of director Michael Armstrong with his upcoming Prince George Theatre Workshop production of Talley’s Folly.
A romantic comedy, with hilarious exchanges and “great dialogue,” Armstrong expects to end off the season with a rollicking laugh from the audience. “We wanted to end the season with something light and entertaining. If we hit the mark, I expect audiences will laugh until they cry at this one. It’s very funny, very entertaining. My character, Matt Friedman (fried man) is like a comic, always telling jokes and doing voices. There is a lot of bickering back and forth between he and Sally Talley.”
