Sometimes the best way to explore a place is to immerse yourself in its natural wonders. We asked five marine experts to share their favorite snorkeling spots in Maui County. Prepare to peek beneath the surface and see how Hawai‘i’s other half lives.
Honolua Bay, Kapalua
Dipping into Honolua Bay is like swimming in an oversized aquarium. Neon-colored butterflyfish whiz past, while lanky trumpetfish hide in the shadows of the lava formations and spiny urchins dot the reefscape. Local Community Health Centers Receive $32M From Stimulus Bill


Fourteen community health centers throughout the islands are receiving about $32 million from the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, the latest federal COVID-19 stimulus bill.
The funds can be used to expand COVID-19 vaccination-related activities, detect and treat COVID-19 infections, expand healthcare services and infrastructure, conduct community and educational outreach related to COVID-19, and more. 
Nationwide, health centers are receiving about $6.1 billion in funding. Each health center is receiving a base fund of $500,000, plus $125 per patient reported in 2019, plus $250 per uninsured patient reported in 2019.

Hamakua Health Center Inc. (Honoka‘a) - $1,297,000
Kalihi Palama Health Center (Honolulu) $4,817,125 ....

The Destination Management Action Plan will serve as a guide to rebuild, redefine, and reset the direction of tourism on the three islands that make up Maui Nui.
Focus is on key actions that the community, visitor industry, and other sectors deem necessary over a three-year period.
Actions are based on four interacting pillars – Natural Resources, Hawaiian Culture, Community, and Brand Marketing.
The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) has published the 2021-2023 Maui Nui Destination Management Action Plan (DMAP). It is part of HTA’s strategic vision and continuing efforts to manage tourism in a responsible and regenerative manner. It was developed by the residents of Maui, Molokai and Lanai, and in partnership with the County of Maui and Maui Visitors and Convention Bureau (MVCB). The DMAP serves as a guide to rebuild, redefine and reset the direction of tourism on the three islands that make up Maui ....
