Thomas Rowland Marshall IV passed away at his home in Milton Friday, April 30, 2021, at the age of 70.  Tom was born July 27, 1950, in Lewes, making him a proud Beebe Baby.
Tom grew up in Lewes and Wilmington, graduating from Cape Henlopen High School in 1969.  He owned and operated Frameworks on Second Street, Lewes, and worked in real estate in Sussex County.  A natural musician, playing guitar, drums, keyboard, and literally whatever he picked up, led him to a lifelong love of all kinds of music. Early years were spent in his band, The Malibu’s.  He was a member of the local band Jack of Diamonds for a number of years. ....

David Robert Howell, retired button salesman

David Robert Howell, 68, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., after a valiant fight to recover from a heart attack. He was born in Milford Feb. 25, 1953, to Harry and Evelyn (Miller) Howell. 
David graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 1971, and studied accounting at the University of Delaware. He owned a button business in Georgetown for over 30 years, and was always met with lots of questions when he told people he sold buttons for a living. David was involved in the Georgetown Little League program for many years with his children Amber and Matt. He was an avid basketball and tennis player, and enjoyed playing tennis with his kids, grandkids, and friends at The Plantations in Lewes. David also enjoyed ballroom dancing, after being talked into taking dance lessons by his wife. He belonged to the Twinkle Club dance club in Laurel, and he and his wife often danced in the kitchen while cookin ....

Kathy Marie Boyce, force of nature

On Friday April 23, 2021, we lost a mother, a grandmother, a sister and a great friend to all, Kathy Marie Boyce.  Kathy, known as “Trink,” passed away suddenly at her Baywood Greens home.  She was born in 1948 to Joseph and Irene Haney in Wilmington. 
Kathy graduated from Claymont High School, where she excelled in basketball.  Later she attended the Capital City School of Nursing, where she earned her degree as a registered nurse.  “Hiney,” as she was known, kept in touch with Parker and her beloved classmates from her time in nursing school. 
Kathy moved to Delaware, but her heart never left Washington, D.C.  She loved her Redskins, Capitals and Nationals.  Her heart was also with her beloved pinochle players, whom she adored.  ....

Robert “Poppop” Francis Knight, 69, of Millsboro passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at his home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  He was born May 26, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Francis B. and Grace C. (Wust) Knight.
Mr. Knight was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  He was a faithful employee of Exelon Corp., contributing 36 dedicated years’ service, retiring as a shift foreman.  Mr. Knight’s interests were many and varied.  He loved the outdoors, particularly fishing and hitting the open road on his Harley-Davidson.  Mr. Knight had an affinity for all animals, but especially his pets.  He had a fascination with the engineering and function of things, de-constructing and rebuilding all sorts of motors, engines and everyday items. Mr. Knight was also a longtime Friend of Bill W. ....
