The #4 Orange (4-3, 1-2 ACC) played poorly in several facets of the game in Saturday’s 18-11 loss against #9 Notre Dame (5-1, 1-1 ACC). Despite the star power SU brings to the table, it’s been inconsistency that has plagued this year’s experienced group. Outside of a dominant 20-10 win against Virginia back on February 27th, Syracuse has rarely played their best on both sides of the ball. The Boston native spent four years as a Minuteman and was a captain for the past two. He’s UMass’ second-leading 3-point maker all time (286). Pierre announced his intent to enter the transfer portal March 17. Though Pierre was a senior last year and played four years at UMass, he has an additional year of eligibility due to a COVID-19 exemption. ....
STEVE CAHALAN For the La Crosse Tribune A consortium of investors is expected to acquire La Crosse-based City Brewing Co., which will acquire the closed former Miller Coors brewery in Irwindale, Calif., from Pabst Brewing Co., City Brewing announced Tuesday. City Brewing has about 700 employees in La Crosse and will continue to be headquartered here, a company spokesman told the Tribune later, adding that no changes are expected in La Crosse operations. City Brewing will continue to operate its breweries in La Crosse; Latrobe, Pa., and Memphis, Tenn., he said. The transaction is expected to close in April, City Brewing said in a press release. When that happens, City Brewing Chairman and CEO George Parke III will retire. And Ross Sannes, City Brewingâs chief operating officer, who has been with the company since 2012, will become chief executive officer. ....
