The High River Heat of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League (RMLL) Junior B Tier II division hosted the Strathmore Venom at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Centre in the first game of the season for both team on Apr. 26.
The Heat won 16-5.

Even though the game ended in convincing fashion for the Heat, coach Larry Makortoff knows the team has a long way to go.
“I think we did alright,” he said.
“Everybody’s got a little rust on them, and maybe some haven’t picked up a stick in a while.”
The High River Heat junior b lacrosse team had another great season, and won a bronze medal.They came up just short of their goal of winning provincials.

She reached the milestone in a 10-5 home win over Chicopee Comp on Thursday.
After entering the game with 94 career points, Laliberte factored into the Rams’ first five scores with an assist and four goals.
“We talked about that as a team. We try to get everybody their goals and achievements,” Granby coach Allie Roy said. “Everyone was on their game to catch her passes.”
