The performances will now take place on Wednesday, Aug. 4. Chris Talarico, Danielle Pollari, and the Lockyer Boys were scheduled to perform on July 28. A screening of Snow White and the Huntsman at Boomer s Drive-In following the musical performances has also been postponed. ....

(City of Thunder Bay) THUNDER BAY Thunder Bay s popular Live on the Waterfront concert series will be presented with a hybrid approach this summer. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, last year s program was a virtual one. Its success was recognized with an achievement award from Festival Events Ontario. This year, the city s Culture and Events team is pivoting again by offering participants three different ways to take in the entertainment – from your device, at Boomer s Drive-in in Murillo, or in person. COVID restrictions will limit the in-person attendance to 25, with no individual able to book more than two tickets. The live performances will be filmed from the top floor of the downtown waterfront parkade, and will be broadcast for viewing on electronic devices or at the drive-in. ....
Rootstock is back again this year in a virtual format. The online concert will feature ten local musicians including The Lockyer Boys and Danielle Pollari. Rootstock organizer Nancy Saunders talks about what can be expected from this years event. “With the way things have gone with COVID, we decided that we wanted to do it again as an online event. We’ve got all new acts of local musicians. We’ve got some food package options as well, cocktail, and non-alcoholic drinks so people can add that to their tickets when they go on to our Eventbrite site.” Ticket sales and donations will be going to a good cause, as Saunders explains. ....
