He replaces Cheryl Dolins, who departed the studio in December.  Disney s 20th Television has a new top comedy executive.
Longtime studio exec Chet Dave has been promoted to head the studio s comedy division.
Dave, who will hold the senior vp comedy development title, will report to exec vp development Carolyn Cassidy. He will be charged with selling the studio s comedy development strategy, identifying emerging writers and shepherding projects from pitch to series.
