It looks like Galax won’t only release RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 cards with the crypto mining limiter. Recently, the company added RTX 3060 and the RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards with the ‘FG’ naming to their website, which means they have their Ethereum mining performance halved. From what we’ve gathered, the Galax ‘FG’ cards will feature Nvidia GPUs with the new crypto mining limiter (LHR). Galax’s new RTX 3060 Ti FG models come with the GA104-202 GPU, which has a crypto mining performance of about 25MH/s. The new RTX 3060 cards are equipped with the GA106-302 chip capable of mining Ethereum at 25 MH/s. ....
14. A Word on the EG200 15. Closing Thoughts 16. View All Pages External GPU enclosures have been around for a few years now, most of them using Thunderbolt 3 which provides four PCIe 3.0 lanes. We’ve tested a few solutions over the years, including Razer’s Core X and the Sapphire GearBox, but today we’re taking a closer look at just how well an eGPU can perform. To do so, we test Nvidia’s RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and even the RTX 3090, across 1080p, 1440p and 4K resolutions. Is there any benefit to using a faster GPU over Thunderbolt 3? That’s what we will find out today. ....
The rumour mill has been churning out new information on Nvidia’s future graphics card plans lately. Specifically, it was recently reported that the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti would launch in May. Now, updated reports claim that while the RTX 3080 Ti is launching next month, the RTX 3070 Ti has been pushed to June. According to HKEPC (via VideoCardz), the RTX 3080 Ti will launch on the 25th of May, followed by a separate launch for the RTX 3070 Ti in ‘early June’. If this ends up being true, it means that board partners are finally getting clued in on launch plans. ....
The rumour mill has been pointing to an RTX 3080 Ti launch next month and now, there is a bit more evidence for this. This week, the first picture of the GA102-225 GPU leaked online, in addition to new information on specs and performance. The picture and specifications of the RTX 3080 Ti GPU shared by VideoCardz confirm some of the rumours we’ve seen these past few months. The picture confirms the use of the GA102-225 GPU, while the screenshot shows that the GPU will feature 10,240 CUDA cores. The screenshot also shows that the RTX 3080 Ti will come with 12GB of GDDR6X memory clocked at 19Gbps across a 384-bit bus. ....
While the rumour mill originally led us to believe that the RTX 3080 Ti would launch as early as January 2021, the current GPU stock situation resulted in delays. Apparently, the RTX 3080Ti is indeed still on the way and the latest reports are pointing to an April 2021 launch window. According to a report from MyDrivers, the RTX 3080 Ti is “almost certain to be released on the market around mid-April”. Twitter leaker ‘@momomo us‘ shared the leak, but didn’t add further details. In terms of specs, the source hear claims that the RTX 3080 Ti will come with 10,240 Steam Processors and 12GB of GDDR6X VRAM across a 384-bit bus. This GPU will also include Nvidia’s new anti-mining measures to cap the hash rate and discourage miners from buying up all the stock. ....
