“We thought that we bowled and fielded really well, but the batting innings was poor from us. “We actually had a really good discussion straight after the game in the changing rooms – we spent a bit of time digesting it and working through it and using it as a learning opportunity. “It was really important that rather than tearing our hair out and throwing things around the changing room, we actually learnt from it. “Fingers crossed we don t get in that situation again – that we finish the job off a little earlier – but I m looking forward to it. “The Auckland Hearts were fantastic, they deserved the win, and it s going to make for an absolute blockbuster here, hopefully, if the Auckland weather pulls through.” ....
LITTLE Willow Robb has been crowned the TeleTots winner for 2020 after a record number of votes were cast in the family favourite contest. The 20-month-old Greenock toddler was celebrating yesterday after all our finalists won the hearts of our readers during the competition. Our counting team were kept busy as the votes piled in. Almost 11,000 were cast throughout the competition. One-year-old Alfie McNeill, also from Greenock, was the runner-up and in third place was 13-month-old Jack Heaton. Willow s proud mum Julie Robb, 38, who lives in Gateside Gardens, said: We are just delighted. We want to thank every single person who voted for Willow. ....
