Jill Clayton s body found in Rowan County Posted at 7:40 PM, Dec 11, 2020 and last updated 2020-12-11 21:39:13-05 MOREHEAD, Ky. (LEX 18) â The body of Jill Clayton, who has been missing for over two weeks now, was found Friday evening in Morehead. Detective Donny Hall with the Rowan County Sheriff s Office confirmed the news to LEX 18. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday to find a cause of death. As of Friday evening, no charges been filed. Clayton s body was found at an area near Wolf Hollow Road after approximately 40 community members gathered on Friday to help on the search. CONFIRMED: body of Jill Clayton found in Rowan Co. Jill Clayton was last heard from Thanksgiving morning when neighbors overheard her arguing loudly with her boyfriend, Gary Jeffries. The Rowan Co Sheriff’s Office is continuing to deploy search parties in the area of CCC Trail near Clayton’s home. Another search party is planned for tomorrow morning.
