Pampering sesh for residents

Residents at Rothsay Grange care home, in Andover recently enjoyed a beauty day at the home courtesy of the activities coordinators, Irene and Leah, who treated the residents to manicures, pedicures, blow dries and beauty treatments.
Not just honouring the women residents at the home, the gentlemen residents also enjoyed a pampering. The hospitality team at the home also served a spread of teas and cakes for all to enjoy.
Amanda Cussen, general manager at Rothsay Grange Care Home said: “It’s always a lovely treat to be pampered, and our residents deserve it. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Rothsay as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this one was our most fashionable fun! Fury at care home chief who has pay doubled to £2million

One of Britain’s biggest care home operators was branded a disgrace last night after it emerged that its chief executive received a £1million pay rise in one year.
Barchester Healthcare boss Dr Pete Calveley’s pay more than doubled to £2.02million in 2019 – around 120 times more than some of the care assistants who work for him.
This is despite around one in ten of the group’s more than 200 homes being judged to ‘require improvement’ by the Care Quality Commission watchdog.
Last night MPs and campaigners hit out at the pay packet, saying it was a ‘slap in the face’ to carers working on the front line. ....
