Some restrictions lifted for vaccinated long term care visitors

Anyone looking to visit a friend or family member in a long-term or assisted living care facility can expect some changes to the rules.
Beginning on July 19th, some visitor restrictions are being lifted as there are no active COVID-19 outbreaks at any health care facilities in BC.
The following changes will be made to long term care visitation on July 19th: ....

The Ministry of Health said there are currently 602 active COVID-19 cases in B.C.
A total of 87 people are in hospital, with 22 in intensive care.
Overall hospitalizations, which typically lag behind spikes and dips in new cases, are down by 21 per cent from last Tuesday, when 110 people were in hospital with the disease.  ....

Person in 20s is one of five new COVID-19 deaths in B.C.

B.C. s death toll from COVID-19 rose to 1,754 on June 28, as five additional people died from the disease in the past three days, including one person who was aged between 20 and 29 and in the Interior Health Region, according to provincial health officer Bonnie Henry.
The other deaths included one person aged between 60 and 69, and three who were older than that. 
Henry did not provide any additional information about any of those who newly died from the disease, such as whether any were fully vaccinated.  ....
