[UPDATED] Sombre mood expected in Senate on Tuesday Stuart Young will be the new Energy Minister while Fitzgerald Hinds is now National Security Minister. A sombre mood will no doubt prevail in the Senate when it sits on Tuesday at 1.30 pm, after the death of its Leader of Government Business and Energy Minister Franklin Khan. Khan, 63, who had a history of heart-related illness, died at his Maraval home early on Saturday. When the sitting begins, tributes will be paid to Khan by Senate President Christine Kangaloo and other senators. Khan s death means the Government is one short of its quota of 15 members in the Senate. So far there has been no word on who will be appointed to take Khan s place as a government senator. ....
