John Tavares returned to the Leafs practice facility on Wednesday. John is here today re-acclimating himself to the group and getting back going, coach Sheldon Keefe revealed. There are a lot of really positive things both in his recovery and having him around our group. Despite being knocked out of the series against Montreal after sustaining a knee injury and concussion in Game 1, Tavares has continued to influence the Leafs. Galchenyuk set up Toronto s first two goals on terrific passes before sealing the victory into an empty net as the Maple Leafs defeated the Canadiens 4-0 to take a commanding 3-1 lead in their first-round playoff series. The 27-year-old suited up 418 times in the regular season with Montreal, plus 27 more in the playoffs, after being selected third overall at the 2012 NHL draft. But the Canadiens eventually decided moved on, and so has Galchenyuk. ....
