Tough loss for Portland: Portland lost a 2-goal and then a 1-goal lead in a game they controlled much of the time, outshooting Spokane 51-27. Zummack and Beckman finish strong: Spokane’s veteran stars, Zummack and last season’s WHL leading scorer Adam Beckman, were held early in the game but broke out in the 3rd period and overtime, scoring Spokane’s last three goals while Portland was arguably still playing the better hockey. ....
